Wern [intrj]:
1. A linguistic place-holder sometimes used to indicate general agreement.
2. A generally agreeable greeting [syn. 'Hello']
Derivation: Originally the name of a fictional inbred character invented by a friend of this poster and said to inhabit the swamps of Louisiana in a running inside joke about people who inhabit the swamps of Louisiana. Later transformed into a satire of the then-popular misuse of the word "word."
Example [as a greeting] "Wern up, home dawg!"

Fri, January 28, 2005 - 4:49 PMRogan, I'm pretty sure. His whole character is defined by making up or redefining strange words, come to think of it.
You know, he's moving to Seattle soon. All the more reason for you to do the same. -

Sat, January 29, 2005 - 12:39 AMGood, I think. To make a long story short, he got his degree in percussion performance from Ft. Lewis college, and is in two or three bands right now, one of which actually makes a little money, and he is getting married to a lovely woman from Japan who I had pleasure of watching down $45 worth of sushi one day for lunch. It was inspiring. He and ashe are planning to move out here... sometime soon.
